Funny Dove Ad

Thank you Francis for posting this hilarious video. In fairness na-inggit ako sa hair niya =P
A gentle reminder for men not to use our shampoo and get their own haha. They don't need gorgeous and bouncy hair -- or do they? =P

The Brutally Honest Personality Test

I tried the Brutally Honest Personality Test the other day since my friend Chin and I were talking about personality tests and how accurate it is. This is the result: -- I'm a Pushover. =P

"Hah. Nice one. How does it feel to know that you're barely unique? Of all the personality types you could have had, you ended up with the most common in all of America. In a group of 100 Americans, 12.8 of them will be just like you.

I bet you feel sorry for that one person missing 20% of his body. I bet you want to help him out, don't you? Cause that's what you like to do, isn't it? Help people. You don't want to save the world. You just want to help people out.

Sound pretty good so far? Sorry, but you're just plain pathetic. You let people walk all over you all the time, because everyone knows that you just can't say "no." When you get time, email me your contact details. It's always good to know where I can find another helping hand.

What the hell is your problem? GET A LIFE! Stop cleaning other people's houses and go out and have a bit of fun every now and then. Sure, you feel responsible for doing what needs to be done, but sometimes it's just not you who needs to do it.

You're dependable, predictable and practicaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...

Whoops, that was me falling asleep on the keyboard. You're just not the most fun person. I wouldn't worry too much about it. You can go hang out with your other 12.8 mates, helping out at the soup kitchen together. Woohoo!"

Hmm, it really sounded harsh and quite true actually. I already prepped myself for insulting words and mean confirmations on how boring I am so I wasn't really affected. By the way, the 'pushover' is just their brutal term for the ISFJ (Introverted-Sensing-Feeling-Judging) personality. It felt like talking to a really frank friend on what they think about me. If you know you're too sensitive for mean words, don't take this. =P
Would you try this test? Tell me what it says about you and if you find it quite true =P Happy Weekend!

Star Finder Optical

A lot of people have been asking me where I bought my eyewear that's why I'm sharing it with you. =)
I got it from Star-finder Boutique which has a lot of Korean eyeglasses. I got a light-weight frame from HumanEye Korea which is good for everyday wear. A lot of people (even celebrities) are digging the nerdy look with the classic wide-framed lenses probably because of the casual look and most importantly for comfort.

Who would think twice seeing how affordable it is?
Having fun with the different styles =)
Photos of local and Korean celebrities are posted everywhere =P I was surprised that Martin Nievera's eyeglasses are from Star Finder =)
This is my "this-is-it" look when I finally decided what to buy.
Before purchasing, the staff would double check if your eye grade is still the same. You would go throught some vision tests that would only take around 5-10 minutes. Then you would only have to wait 45 minutes to an hour to get it fixed =) For the frame and multi-coated lenses I paid around P1,500, which is a good deal for an awesome pair of eye glasses. =)
Star-finder Boutique has branches at Festival Mall Muntinlupa, BF Homes Paranaque and Robinsons Ermita. I'm not sure if they have a website but you can check their FB page https://www.facebook.com/StarFinderOptical.ph?fref=ts

Featured Artist: Sir Shadow

First of all, isn't "Sir Shadow" a cool name? He sounds like a magician or someone mysterious, but he's not.    He's actually an artist and I came across his artwork as a feature from a cable news channel. I even forgot the channel I was supposed to watch when I saw his interview =P Sir Shadow is a famous one-line artist from New York. I was so amazed on how he was able to create wonderful drawings with just one continuous line. He sets the pen on the paper and releases it once the image is complete.
Watch the video to get what I mean:

Isn't he awesome? I just admire people with great talent in drawing or creating any form of art. With just one stroke he already knows the direction of the pen to create an image. Oh, this made me want to go to New York, watch him draw and hopefully have one of his artworks. Check out more of his works at his website: sirshadow.com and be amazed =) Happy Sunday & Enjoy!

Bits of My 2 weeks

I'm back!! Okay, I owe my so-called 'readers' a lot of posts so I'm summarizing them all in here:

1. I've been eyeing a good organic shampoo and conditioner but instead got freebies from Tresemme and Syoss. I tested each brand for a week and got good results. Too bad what I need is organic =(
2. I love S&R's Smartfood White Cheddar, and I've been craving for it since forever. So when I saw Chimara's white cheddar, I knew I just had to buy a big bag =)

3. My seatmate Chin shared her good find from Book Sale. Lela Lee's Angry Little Girls. They are all funny and witty plus it was easy to finish hehe =P I can also relate to their negativity and craziness. =P

4. Kai's gift - Lip and Cheek Stain from Body Shop in #1. A quick fix for a fresh and simple look. With one 'device' you could give a color on those pale lips and give your cheeks a natural flush.

5. Merienda with mom at Mary Grace (Podium). We suddenly craved for grilled ensaymadas and I added my favorite Summer Squash soup. This could have been perfect with a cup of hot choco or coffee =P

6. Saw this adorable Marc Jacobs glitter-finish leather mouse ballet flats and it was too cute!=P

7. Finally bought some of my organic gifts at the Echo Store (Podium). I'll be back for more items specifically the Oryspa products for me. =P A good shop to buy giveaways and locally-made food.

8. Theo & Philo Dark Chocolate with Green Mango and Sea Salt from Kai. It had a very unique taste, blending different flavors - sour, salty and sweet. Until now I still can't describe it.

9. Dressed up as Elle Driver (Asian version) at our Annual Year-end Xmas Party.
Photo c/o John So's instagram =P

10. Introduced my planner's new partner: A Cross pen and pencil duo c/o Mom =P

11. I'm just amazed how eyeliner makes the eyes more dramatic. This is my first eye liner attempt and I hope this would do the magic and not sabotage it =P I love how it is easy to apply and how fast it dries. The only problem is I really don't know how to apply it. As they say, practice makes perfect. So if you see my face looking all weird and messy, you know what I did =P

Sorry to be missing in action. Just had our CPU repaired and the laptop had been busy with my brother. I'm sure to write more posts this coming week and I'm also planning to revamp my blog's look for 2013. (If the world would not end haha) Yihee I'm excited! More pahabol posts coming soon. Let's end this year with a bang! Happy Weekend!! =)

Starbucks 2013 Planner Sneak Peek

Just for the record I have never EVER completed the sticker collection. Only my buddy Patrick Patino has been able to fulfill my dream of having one and for 5 years it's been a tradition.
  [THANKS SOOO MUCH BUD!]

So what's up with this year's planner?
  • covered with leather (with design on cover)
  • it has a magnetic lock on the side to keep it closed
  • starbucks cup magnetic bookmark
  • it now has lines (yey!)
  • free postcard
  • random goals for the day
  • notes section at the back (more yey!)
  • regular free coupons
  • spaces where you can attach pics =)
Sadly no free pen this year but it's ok. It also comes in white and green.

Hope you also got your planners =)

Sunday Chill

Saturday is usually my 'me time'. Clearly defined as a trip to the mall, a movie or a lunch with a friend. Sunday is usually my laid back day. It's my time for family (including errands) or grocery shopping and my 'downtime' to prepare for the week ahead. If I'm not at home preparing blog posts, reading or watching my favorite series, I just find a cozy place to unwind and relax. Sharing with you my Sunday morning with my dad =) We ordered french toast, ham & cheese croissant and toffee nut frappe while reading the morning paper and enjoying the sunlight through our window.

Hope you all had a great weekend =)

Weekend Eye Candy: Dash of Colors & Lights

A bag of purple-shaded M&Ms =)

Dancing Christmas lights at Ayala Triangle

Walkway Surprise

A lot of people pass by the Dela Rosa walkway (near the parking lot) going to Landmark/ Greenbelt area. But have you noticed the artworks on the walkway's ceiling? It's quite unnoticeable given that a lot of people are in a rush going home. So if in case you're one of the busy people who haven't noticed it yet, here it is!
[Note: Sorry for the poor angle, I almost had a stiff neck taking these pics]

The artist/s did a great job giving life to the blank spaces. Art truly changes anything. I'm sure a lot of you are wondering how come you haven't seen these before. Yes it's just up there (look up!) The next time you go out, don't forget to take some time to look around, breathe some air, enjoy your walk and you will discover little surprises =)

Coffee - More fun in the Philippines?

After having lunch, I was so full that I was craving coffee to melt everything that I ate. On my way to SBC, I passed by the trade fair happening at the carousel court at festival mall hoping to buy Tantamco's Ube. Unfortunately, there was no ube for me but instead, there was coffee! Who would have thought I'll find coffee there? I have to admit seeing the price convinced me to try it (P10.00/ cup). The sales lady even opened the dispenser to show that it was really brewed. It was Kalinga Brew ground coffee which is a combination of different coffee beans: arabica, robusta and excelsa and is proudly from the Cordillera region.
I have to say Pinoy coffee can match those imported coffee shops. If I'm not mistaken you can buy it for P200.00 (500g pack). In other places that amount would only bring you 2 cups. As for the taste, it had the right mix - not too strong and not too mild. Next on my list will be to try the famous Alamid or "Civet" coffee.
Eventhough I already have my coffee, I decided to push through with my SBC plan (hehe I sneaked my coffee in) to buy something that would go well with my hot drink (probably a pastry or a cake). I ended up buying cinnamon which I did not really enjoy so I didn't include it in the pic.=P What caught my attention is the beautiful photo wall gallery in the dining area. I really wish I could create something like that for my room. I enjoyed my quiet time sipping my favorite drink, browsing magazines and admiring the view. What a way to cap off my Saturday afternoon!
