As 2012 is drawing to a close, I can't help but look back on what happened this year. I felt happy upon seeing that some of my new year resolutions for this year were accomplished: save more, travel to a new spot, exercise & lose weight (failed), start an awesome blog. Yes, I have started a blog but I think I may have forgotten the part to make it awesome. Therefore, I am now re-creating my blog resolution for 2013 and I'll call it Discovgraphies 2.0. The new version '2.0' is to mark the second year of this blog and 2.0 because as a surprise/secret contributor will be joining me just to make this blog more fun. So expect more pics, more posts and more discoveries! For my friends who have been constantly checking my crappy blog (you know who you are-- special mention: Kai *ahem*), THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for the support and for putting up with my non-sense =P. I hope to be better this year ahehe. Weee! I'm already excited for 2013! I hope you are too =) Happy 2013 everyone!
Top 5 reasons why I got hooked with this Korean Series
(Warning: May include spoilers)
A Gentleman's Dignity is a romantic-comedy series about 4 men in their 40's who have been friends since they were around 18 and their different struggles in life, work, and love. If you come to think of it, it's like a male version of Sex and the City. =P
1. Handsome actors
Jang Dong-Gun - Who wouldn't fall in love with Architect Kim Do-Jin? He may be a bit arrogant but his charm to win Seo I-Soo's heart just made my heart melt =P
Kim Min-jong - I know he's not the pretty boy type or the manly type but I find him really cute. Being a lawyer in the series, most of the time he was serious but there were moments that he became really emotional and funny.
2. Hilarious Moments
a.) Episode 5 Prologue - As the boys were talking about their favorite SNSD members, Yoon insists to talk about serious matters. Suddenly Jung-rok spots Sooyoung of SNSD enter the shop and they all admired her. Suddenly they realized Yoon disappeared beside them only to see Yoon asking for Soo-Young's autograph and even dancing and singing SNSD songs and the three guys were left stunned and embarrassed.
b.) Episode 2 Prologue - The boys spot a girl in mini skirt bending over and they all lowered their heads to peek.
c.) They met a young girl in a club and they mentioned that she looked like one of their ex-classmates. When the girl asked how they knew his father, they all ran.
3. Adorable outfits
Some of the characters like Yoon Jin-I and Kim Ha-neul became trend setters after the show has been aired. I just loved their outfits!
Episode 18: Kim Do-jin helping Seo I-soo paint her new apartment

Episode 11: Being officially together, Yi Soo drops by Do Jin's office and they talk via phone as they can see each other through the window.
Episode 07: She is trying to get the recorder from Do-Jin and they both fell on the couch. In embarrassment, she covers her face on Do-Jin's chest and Do-Jin was stunned.

From Episode 17 - Do Jin apologizes for pretending that he did not love him when he really did, for acting like he could break up with her when he actually couldn’t, and making her cry a lifetime’s worth of tears all at once. He informs her that today will be the last day he says “I’m sorry” and that he’ll only say “I love you” from now on. [Recap from dramabeans.com] -- my 2nd favorite scene =)
Episode 6: The first kiss that made her realize what she really feels. The background was so romantic =)

Leona Gabrielle’s Baptism Location: St. Alphonsus
Chapel, Magallanes
December 15, 2012 - Leona Gabrielle Caluag Espanola joined the Christian world. I finally met my high school friend's little girl and cutie patootey and her big bro
Athan (who became my new best friend) last weekend. I attended her baptismal ceremony with my other high school
friend Mo and her beau Marco. I also saw a batchmate from college who
recognized me because of the black bedazzled shoes I was wearing (same shoes in my previous post -- hi Sandra!). After the ceremony we all had lunch at Amalia’s (Paseo de Magallanes) which
served the best Spanish food like Paella and Lengua. Hopefully I can go back to blog it =)
Meet my new playmate Athan =)
Blessy Uy and Brice Godfried’s Wedding
Location: Oasis, San Juan
December 14, 2012 – The date when my friend Blessy Uy
finally became Mrs. Blessy Godfried. The
day I cried buckets seeing the gorgeous bride walk the aisle, listening to
their heartwarming testimonials, watching their on-site photos and videos and
just seeing the couple hug their parents. I know I’m such a cry baby. It was a
lovely ceremony and I was also happy that I also got to be with my friends from
my previous work.
To Brice and Blessy, this is the beginning of forever... Best Wishes! =)

Sharing this wonderful quote from Mark twain’s letter to
Olivia Langdon (Sept 8 1869)
This 4th of February will be the mightiest day in the
history of our lives, the holiest, & the most generous toward us both --
for it makes of two fractional lives a whole; it gives to two purposeless lives
a work, & doubles the strength of each whereby to perform it; it gives to
two questioning natures a reason for living, & something to live for; it
will give a new gladness to the sunshine, a new fragrance to the flowers, a new
beauty to the earth, a new mystery to life; & Livy it will give a new
revelation to love, a new depth to sorrow, a new impulse to worship. In that
day the scales will fall from our eyes & we shall look upon a new world.
Speed it!
Two back to back events celebrating life and love =)
I'm back!! Okay, I owe my so-called 'readers' a lot of posts so I'm summarizing them all in here:
1. I've been eyeing a good organic shampoo and conditioner but instead got freebies from Tresemme and Syoss. I tested each brand for a week and got good results. Too bad what I need is organic =(
2. I love S&R's Smartfood White Cheddar, and I've been craving for it since forever. So when I saw Chimara's white cheddar, I knew I just had to buy a big bag =)
3. My seatmate Chin shared her good find from Book Sale. Lela Lee's Angry Little Girls. They are all funny and witty plus it was easy to finish hehe =P I can also relate to their negativity and craziness. =P
4. Kai's gift - Lip and Cheek Stain from Body Shop in #1. A quick fix for a fresh and simple look. With one 'device' you could give a color on those pale lips and give your cheeks a natural flush.
5. Merienda with mom at Mary Grace (Podium). We suddenly craved for grilled ensaymadas and I added my favorite Summer Squash soup. This could have been perfect with a cup of hot choco or coffee =P
6. Saw this adorable Marc Jacobs glitter-finish leather mouse ballet flats and it was too cute!=P
7. Finally bought some of my organic gifts at the Echo Store (Podium). I'll be back for more items specifically the Oryspa products for me. =P A good shop to buy giveaways and locally-made food.
8. Theo & Philo Dark Chocolate with Green Mango and Sea Salt from Kai. It had a very unique taste, blending different flavors - sour, salty and sweet. Until now I still can't describe it.
9. Dressed up as Elle Driver (Asian version) at our Annual Year-end Xmas Party.
Photo c/o John So's instagram =P
10. Introduced my planner's new partner: A Cross pen and pencil duo c/o Mom =P
11. I'm just amazed how eyeliner makes the eyes more dramatic. This is my first eye liner attempt and I hope this would do the magic and not sabotage it =P I love how it is easy to apply and how fast it dries. The only problem is I really don't know how to apply it. As they say, practice makes perfect. So if you see my face looking all weird and messy, you know what I did =P
Sorry to be missing in action. Just had our CPU repaired and the laptop had been busy with my brother. I'm sure to write more posts this coming week and I'm also planning to revamp my blog's look for 2013. (If the world would not end haha) Yihee I'm excited! More pahabol posts coming soon. Let's end this year with a bang! Happy Weekend!! =)
