Walang Kukurap =P

I usually read before I go to sleep. It's actually my way of making myself sleepy haha. But once I'm already sleepy, I get so lazy to stand and turn off the lights. Tamad lang haha. In the spirit of Earth Day this coming April 22, I would like to share this "energy-saving" idea from Randy Sarafan which is quite funny for me. This lamp switches off everytime you close your eyes. I shall call this "Kindat Lamp". Imagine using this and blinking often with other people in the same room (disco lang?) =P

It's like 'turning the lights off when not in use' done at the highest level. Haha!
If you would like to have one, check out Sarafan's step-by-step tutorial =)

Archipelago Cinema: The World's First Cinema on Water

Watching movies in a theater - common.

Watching movies inside a car - classic.

Watching movies on water - Say what???!!!

Archipelago Cinema: The World's First Cinema on Water

The genius behind this amazing concept is a German architect who is based in Beijing named Ole Scheeren together with the Film on the Rocks Yao Noi Foundation which is presided by Nat Sarasas, Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Chomwan Weeraworawit.

Location: Nai Pi Lae lagoon, Kudu Island, Thailand

In his website, Scheeren described the project as:
"A screen, nestled somewhere between the rocks. And the audience… floating. Hovering above the sea, somewhere in the middle of this incredible space of the lagoon, focused on the moving images across the water. A landscape of pieces playfully joined together. A sense of temporality, randomness. Almost like drift wood. Or maybe something more architectural. Modular pieces, loosely assembled, like a group of little islands. A congregation of rafts as an auditorium. Archipelago Cinema."

Eggcellent!

The egg hunt is a common tradition during Easter as the egg symbolizes the 'rebirth of man'. Colored eggs with special treats inside are hidden for children to find. There would be prizes for the one who collected the most eggs and for the one who found the 'special' egg. When I was a kid, I think I only experienced this once and I didn't even win anything boohoo :( I just re-used the eggs I collected as part of my lutu-lutuan toys =P If you're having a party here are some ideas to make the eggs more unique =P

Hello Kyutty

I'm more of a dog person than a cat person. The only cat that I love is Hello Kitty haha! I'm actually (kind of) scared of cats because of some 'traumatic' experiences. Way back in elementary a cat in our school snatched my lunch. It  jumped so high (almost in my face) and tossed my plate, leaving my entire chicken meal on the floor. Another incident is when I accidentally stepped on her while she was sleeping and she left a long scratch mark on my leg as punishment for disturbing her sleep. Bad!
Anyway, there was something that made me watch this video. Probably her face was so cute while her hands are up as she is cornered by the vacuum. This reminded me of Puss in Boots of Shrek when he makes his wide-eyed expression. =P

Take a picture!

I used to take pictures of myself whenever I travel alone and during my vain moments (good hair day or good makeup day haha!). The end result: no beautiful scenery and just my enlarged forehead and high cheekbones occupying the entire photo. I know I'm not really photogenic to expect good results but sometimes it's frustrating not to have that picture that you would approve uploading as your profile pic. This video would surely give you tips on how to get that perfect shot when all you have is yourself as your camera man.

Bad Stamps

I just find them funny. Not cool if I see them on my work. =P

These self-inking stamps are from http://www.knockknockstuff.com/. Each costs $9.

Not an ideal gift for your boss or your teacher haha =P
